Pelvic Health Services
At Promotion Health, we understand that pelvic health concerns are deeply personal. Our expert pelvic health physiotherapists are here to listen, support, and guide you with warmth, clinical excellence, and care that’s tailored just for you.
Whether you’re experiencing pain, managing bladder or bowel issues, preparing for childbirth, or recovering from surgery, we offer individualised support to help you move with confidence and feel empowered in your body.
We work with women, men, and people of all genders across all life stages
Bladder concerns
If you’re experiencing urinary incontinence (leakage), urgency, frequency, nocturia (waking at night), or bladder pain, our physiotherapists can assess your pelvic floor and bladder habits. Treatment may include pelvic floor muscle training, bladder retraining, education, lifestyle adjustments, and real-time ultrasound feedback to track progress.
Bowel issues

Pelvic organ prolapse
Prolapse may feel like heaviness, pressure, or a bulge in the vaginal or rectal area. We provide non-surgical management options including education, pelvic floor strengthening, posture and load management strategies, symptom relief techniques, and referral pathways for pessary fittings if appropriate.
Pelvic pain

Pre- and post-natal care
Pregnancy and birth bring many changes—physical, hormonal, and emotional. We support you through every stage:
Pregnancy: Pelvic floor and core strengthening, managing pelvic girdle or back pain, preparation for labour and birth.
Postnatal recovery: Support for abdominal separation (diastasis), perineal healing, caesarean recovery, bladder and bowel function, and return to exercise or intimacy.
Exercise classes: We offer small group pre- and post-natal exercise classes led by our physiotherapists, with a focus on strength, mobility, pelvic floor health, and safe progression. Babies welcome in postnatal classes!
Breast care: Support for blocked ducts, mastitis, breast engorgement or pain with gentle physiotherapy techniques such as therapeutic ultrasound, massage, and advice on feeding positions and self-care.

Post-surgical rehabilitation
Following gynaecological, urological, or abdominal surgeries (e.g. hysterectomy, prolapse repair, prostatectomy), we help restore function, reduce pain, and rebuild strength with targeted rehabilitation, scar tissue management, and pelvic floor retraining.
