Jay is a physiotherapist with a strong passion for sports injury rehabilitation, athletic performance and helping people return to the activities they love. Originally from Canberra, he completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra and has worked extensively with athletes across a variety of sports and competitive levels.
Alongside his clinical work, Jay has held physiotherapy roles with Women’s First Grade AFL, Men’s Rugby Union, Volleyball Australia and currently serves as the team physiotherapist for the Hockey ACT Under 18 National Championships program. He also worked at Elite Rehab and Sports Physiotherapy, gaining valuable experience alongside world leading clinicians in ACL and complex knee rehabilitation.
Jay has a particular interest in lower limb injuries, ACL and meniscus rehabilitation, shoulder conditions, Achilles injuries and return-to-sport management. He has extensive experience guiding athletes through every stage of rehabilitation, from early recovery through to performance-based training and successful return to competition. He has a special interest in ACL rehabilitation and return-to-sport testing, helping athletes safely return to sport with confidence while reducing their risk of re-injury.
Having competed at an elite level himself, Jay brings a unique perspective to rehabilitation. He represented Australia in Under 21 Hockey at multiple international tournaments and understands firsthand the physical and mental challenges that accompany injury, recovery and returning to peak performance. This experience allows him to build strong connections with athletes and provide practical, goal-focused rehabilitation that reflects the demands of sport.
Jay is passionate about delivering evidence-based care and empowering individuals throughout their rehabilitation journey. Whether working with elite athletes, junior sportspeople, weekend warriors or those simply wanting to stay active, he is committed to helping every patient achieve their goals with confidence.
Outside the clinic, Jay enjoys hockey, golf, running, surfing and walking his dog. His lifelong involvement in sport continues to inspire his commitment to helping others move better, perform better and stay active for life.
