Elly’s journey in physiotherapy began at the University of Notre Dame, driven by her personal experience with recurrent sports injuries during adolescence. These challenges sparked her passion for sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, shaping her career path towards helping others overcome similar hurdles.
During her university years, Elly pursued her passion for sports training within the WAFL, starting at the West Coast Eagles and eventually becoming the head trainer at Claremont Football Club. Her dedication and expertise played a pivotal role in the Colts’ 2023 premiership victory, highlighting her commitment to excellence in sports medicine.
In 2024, Elly’s career reached a significant milestone as she assumed the role of head Physiotherapist for the Claremont AFLW team. This new chapter not only signifies her professional growth but also underscores her dedication to advancing women’s sports and contributing to sports physiotherapy.
With a keen interest in pre-hab and rehabilitation of football injuries, along with treating the general sports and musculoskeletal populations, Elly approaches each patient holistically. She prioritises active listening and understanding to provide personalised care tailored to individual needs.
