Charlie’s journey to becoming a Physiotherapist culminated in a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, driven by his unwavering passion for addressing musculoskeletal injuries comprehensively. His personal experiences in competitive surfing and AFL have instilled in him a profound appreciation for the pivotal role of effective rehabilitation in both sports and everyday life, shaping his commitment to improving his patients’ mobility and functionality.

Throughout his academic years, Charlie didn’t just absorb theoretical knowledge; he actively applied it. Serving as a sports trainer for the Mosman Park Football Club and participating in practical placements across Western Australia, from Geraldton to Albany, he honed his practical skills and embraced a wide array of rehabilitation strategies. These diverse experiences in private clinics allowed him to develop a holistic approach to patient care.

In addition to his professional endeavours, Charlie volunteers as a lifeguard at North Cottesloe beach and serves as a committee member of the Cottesloe Board Riders, promoting skill development within the surfing community. His connection to the ocean not only fuels his passion but also enriches his understanding of movement and rehabilitation, drawing from firsthand experience in water sports.

Beyond his professional and volunteer commitments, Charlie finds joy in surfing Western Australia’s renowned waves whenever possible. His active lifestyle extends to running, AFL, and volleyball, each activity contributing to his continuous learning and understanding of the physical demands and rehabilitation needs of athletes and active individuals alike.
